Thankfully, this is the extent of our damage…thoughts out to those who haven’t been as lucky. #sandy

Anytime these humane society commercials come on, j meows and moos as loud as he can at the screen. At least he doesn’t recognize that the animals are starving and abused, right?

October in Virginia: Pumpkins & Corn Mazes

We took Jackson to a local corn maze/pumpkin extravaganza this morning. He was in heaven.  When we walked in, the first thing we saw was Peyton! We were pretty excited about that.

There was also a giant pumpkin and a really fun tractor, identical to the one my sister and I used to climb all over as children:

My favorite part was the corn maze. We grabbed a pole with a yellow flag and let J lead the way:

J’s favorite part was definitely the animals:

In fact, he did his chicken wing move and screamed “bock bock bock bock!!!!” at the chickens:

Here are a few (hundred) more photos of our day:

Lord of the Gourds:

Doing a little campaigning today! I’ve Ben politically active for as long as I can remember but never have I had a better reason to vote than his future. Whatever side you fall on, make it count-we are lucky enough to have a voice, so use it! #election #2012

To My Husband

A couple of years in marriage don’t even scratch the surface of our history together. We stretch all the way back to 2005. It seems that all of the defining moments of my life are made of you, me, and a full moon. The night of the concert on the beach, the moon was full and vivid. The night of our wedding held a spectacular moon:

Another glorious moon helped us to welcome our first born:

It has been one of my greatest honors to become your wife, having you by my side each day, and to raise children, knowing that we will certainly grow old together.  It is a joy to watch you with your son, and I don’t think you have an idea how much he adores you – just as we were watching this video, he was waving and saying “daddy!!!” hoping you might wave back to him.   In short, I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us, and I am anxiously awaiting the next defining full moon experience with you by my side!

xoxo,

Christy

If you are ready to explode of cute, just click this link & view J’s 18 month photo shoot. My fave is the one where he is showing you where his belly button is….or maybe the one where he gets up and runs away, all “SEE YA LOSERS!!!” OH – and a special shout out to Jen for the lovely bowties in the photos ;).

You should probably definitely book Ali for any sort of thing you might want photographed. She is the best in the world.
