This is Peyton. She is my best friend’s sweet sweet girl. Consequently she is also BBK’s future wife. We had lunch today and it was a dream!!! PS don’t you die for those cheeks?!??!!

Little Hockey Player

I definitely would not call Zac a sports fanatic. He isn’t one of those guys that watches sportscenter all the time, but he does follow football (and bets on it). He isn’t much for basketball or baseball, though wouldn’t turn down tickets to a game, but if there is one sport that he loves, its hockey.  He played hockey his entire life, up until last year really, and always enjoys going to Caps games. He love love loves the Detroit Redwings, but also likes the Washington Capitals (hometown team, duh!), and if I had to pick, I am a definite CAPS fan. This is why I HAD to buy these little nugget onesies for baby boy Koonts (BBK as I like to call him). They should be here any day now and I cannot wait to open them:

As soon as Zac found out he was having a son, one of the first things he said was “this is really cool, my son can play in the hockey league that I helped start in the same town I grew up in!” He is very enthusiastic about it, and I gently remind him that if BBK hates hockey, it is going to be ok and that he wont be forced to play. Zac is confident that it won’t turn out that way though and for his sake, I hope he’s right 🙂

It’s a BOY!!!!! I knew it!!!

TOMORROW.

I can’t believe it. Tomorrow is the day I have been anxiously awaiting since forever the day I learned I was pregnant. This is because at 3 PM I will be in the doctor’s office getting the 20 week ultrasound! Why am I having a 20 week u/s at 23 weeks, you ask? My schedule of appointments was mixed up from the beginning, and long story short, with Thanskgiving, they were all booked up until tomorrow. So here it is, another moment that will change my life forever. I will finally learn the gender of the little baby kicking me in the gut floating around in my stomach!!! Even though I have known for months that there was a baby in there, and even though I can feel all the movements it makes (and there are a lot of them!), something about pregnancy just doesn’t feel real until you know just who is hanging out inside of you. I can’t wait to start the nursery and buying all sorts of wonderful things for this little one, and I have been waiting precisely for this appointment to do so. Also, we have some pretty cute names picked out, so I am ready to start calling “it” by his/her name!

I got to have lunch with this little love nugget today! SUCH a snack!!!

Another reason why I have the best husband in the world. While I’m in class, he buys me a new washing machine (and dryer on the way). He even said they aren’t Christmas presents! How did I get so lucky?

This is Charlotte the birthday girl. She is tired because she hurt her arm today, but still very cute and one year old!
